Hi Everyone:
My new book, Out of the Past, received a great review from Coffeetime Romance:
"I really enjoyed reading this book! This appears to be Ms. Lynn’s second book, and I for one plan on buying the other one now that I’ve read this one. The build up of suspense in this story kept me on the edge of my seat and turning pages as I read very late into the night. I simply could not put this book down until I knew the conclusion. It has everything, romance, ghosts, psychics, bad guys and a sexy hot cop. A girl cannot ask for much more from a romance, and this author in my opinion just hit all the right buttons, at least for this reader. If you enjoy romantic suspense with all of the elements listed above then you simply have to get your copy of Out of the Past today!"

Out of the Past also received a wonderful reader’s review on Amazon:
Fast-paced story. When Melissa is suddenly plunged into danger, she has no idea why, but with a handsome detective to protect her, they are determined to find the answers. This is a great story. I'd recommend it highly.
UTAH RWA CONFERENCE
The Utah RWA Conference was excellent! There were interesting speakers plus authors, editors and agents who came together to meet and talk about the craft of writing. A book signing on Friday evening was great, and I was able to buy books from some up and coming authors.

October 2011
Where does the time go? It was just August, I swear. I turned around and it’s October!!
The Heart of the West Romance Writers’ Conference starts tomorrow. It sounds very exciting this year, so it should be a lot of fun. Hope to see some of you there.
Forbidden Quest is my new book coming out this month. It’s the sequel to Forbidden Fire and is being published by Mojocastle Press.
Out of the Past was published in August by Bookstrand.

August, 2011
I hope everyone’s had a great summer so far!
I will have author, K.R. Bailey, on my blog soon. Watch for it.
My new book, OUT OF THE PAST, will be published on August 16, 2011, by Siren-Bookstrand. It is a romance mystery/suspense. Below is an excerpt:
STORY EXCERPT
Melissa turned with the money in her hand. Her mouth fell open as she faced the waiter, who had stepped back inside the suite and now held a gun aimed at her.
“Wha–what do you want? There’s my purse. Take it.”
His lopsided smirk tortured her as she realized the truth. “I’m here for you.”
She saw him slowly pull back on the trigger. Melissa looked around frantically but knew there was nowhere to run, no place to hide. She squeezed her eyes shut, hoping it would be quick. Would it hurt? She heard a click. Opening her eyes, she saw him try to fire the weapon again. In anger, he threw the gun to the floor.
Melissa turned to run, but his arm snaked around her, locking on her waist and dragging her against him backward across the balcony. She tried to scream. His other hand came up, covering her mouth and nose with pressure so great pain shot across her jaw. She could smell the acrid odor of tobacco on his hand as she fought to get away.
He turned around, forcing her in front of him and against the railing. She grabbed for the top rail.
“Come on, you can’t win this fight,” he growled in her ear, the liquor and cigarettes on his breath making her gag. “It’ll be over in a minute.”
She fought back, keeping a stranglehold on the railing.
He started to pry her fingers loose. Melissa bit the hand over her mouth. He yanked his hand away as she screamed, “Help! Help!”
His grip tightened around her waist. Melissa felt her feet lift off the floor as he forced her up.

July, 2011
I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and enjoying the weather.
My latest book, “Out of the Past,” will be published by Bookstrand in August. The print copy will be out by Christmas.
It is a mystery/suspense about a young woman who is almost run over by a hit and run driver. She thinks it’s simply an accident, but is it? I will have an excerpt on my web site soon.
Many, many of you have e-readers. Everyone has their favorite brand, but no matter what the brand is, I think most people love them. I have found mine to be priceless. I take it with me whenever I leave town.
I’m signing off for now as I’m back to my computer creating a new manuscript. (Okay, the secret's out. I can almost always be found at my computer.)
I guess the quote by Danzae Pace sums up my thinking about writing: “If I fall asleep with a pen in my hand, don't remove it - I might be writing in my dreams.”

Spring
The first day of spring was March 20th. Although it didn't feel much like spring then, it's now 70 degrees where I live. Spring is finally here. For all of you who have hopes and dreams you don't think you'll ever realize, remember to spread your wings and fly. You never know how far you'll go. See you soon. Terri J. Lynn
